Description
Motuora Island, just south of Kawau Island, north of Auckland, serves as a nursery to juvenile kiwi as well as being part of a native forest restoration programme. DOC, in partnership with the Motuora Restoration Society are offering 5 day volunteer opportunities staying on the island in a delightful 50s style bach. Duties include planting, nursery work, collecting seeds and weeding. No special skills are needed. You'll be working alongside the ranger on the island. There will be time also to explore and enjoy the beauty of this precious place. Max no: 4
