Description

Maud Island is a wildlife management island with native frogs, giant weta and Takahe. Volunteers will be involved with Takahe, predator trapping programme, manual weed control and general maintenance. Volunteers can enjoy the advantages of island life including fishing, snorkelling, and working with boats.

2 trips. 16 to 20 February 2009 & 11th to 15th May 2009

 

Skills required

Medium fitness. Capable of tramping 4 to 6 hours with a pack
