Description

Being a volunteer gives you the opportunity to help Wellington Zoo and its valuable work in wildlife and conservation.  It is a chance to meet and work with a wide range of people, at the same time gaining an insight into the conservation and education focus at the zoo.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone to maintain or develop marketing skills.  Also provides the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the delivery of programs in your local community.

Tasks include:                          

Entering information on the database

Check that links on the website are working correctly and are easy to find, and that the information is correct

Making up membership packs

Web/donor Research

Delivering flyers locally

Stuffing envelopes for mailing

Special projects may also arise based on the interest, skills and availability of the volunteer

Skills required

Basic knowledge of or an interest in marketing and communications
